About Our Vision
Acts 2:42-47
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
The ONE Church seeks to emulate the early Christian church in every way. In doctrine, in practice, in love one for another, and in the practical care of our members. We desire to minister to every man, woman, and child in every conceivable way. We do not merely desire to offer a religious education and inspiration; but we also seek to meet the social, psychological, and practical needs of individuals from every walk of life. Some of the ventures we seek to offer will give God's people a place to fraternize and fellowship within a wholesome, godly environment. Some will allow members and friends of our church to pursue their creative talents and abilities while ministering to the community through a professional quality dramatic arts ministry center. Every day, in every way, JACCI will be offering help, hope, and healing to all of God's people from every conceivable place in the human experience.
Through JACCI, The ONE Church plans to one day provide a Christian Bibles/Book Store, Day Care, Coffee Shop, Recreation Center, Performing Arts Center, Subsidized/Low Income Housing, Runaway Shelter, Homeless Shelter, Emergency Housing, and so much more... Our vision includes the ability to provide members and friends of our church needing work with with employment while also offering rehabilitation and restoration of the homeless and discouraged to a constructive place within our society. Ministry takes money. It is impossible for any church to do all the things that our world so desperately needs. So it is our desire to operate a number of business ventures and ministries which in turn would help to generate the necessary income to support the many, many ministries, outreaches, and subsidized living quarters that we will one day offer. This vision has nothing to do with making anyone rich, but instead is meant only to provide the resources for our ministry to minister to God's people at every conceivable level.
A large part of our dream is to utilize as many alternate energy sources and "green" technology as possible, so as to make our structures energy efficient and self sustaining (including solar and wind technologies). Some of the structures might even be constructed in such a way as to take advantage of the benefits of building underground. We desire to make every single structure we build, including the church and ministry headquarters, as inexpensive to operate and maintain as possible, while maintaining the highest quality. Pastor Charles has been researching and considering many methods for achieving these goals over the course of many years. There are so many options and techniques available today that this is not at all an unattainable objective.
Our pastor and founder, Rev. Charles Curtiss, believes that the Church of Jesus Christ is called to preach, heal, help, and restore. We cannot sit back and allow society to take on the responsibilities of supporting our less fortunate, offering them little opportunity to rise above their present circumstances. We believe wholeheartedly that too many churches collect monies from their people, only to give back very little by way of real, substantive ministry. Many go to church only to go home to empty pantries, hungry and depressed. Many in God's church are forced to live on government and public funded programs which dehumanize their clientele and trap people in a system that does not allow them to ultimately rise above their circumstance and achieve in and for themselves their own "American dream" and personal success. Our goal would be to help those who require ongoing help, while offering those who need only transitional help a stepping stone and a means whereby they might attain valuable job experience, training, and obtain necessary skills for successful living.
By no means are we seeking to create a church community or all inclusive campus. The ministry campus would exist for the benefit and use of all our members and friends. Members would by no means be expected to live on property. Only those who may need to do so because of life circumstances or temporary situations. This is not an effort to create a socialist utopia or cult-like community. We just want to be able to assist and uplift anyone who might need our assistance at any given time through a wide variety of resources, including such housing needs as low-income residences, retirement living, runaway shelter, homeless shelter, emergency cy housing (for folks losing their homes to storms, fire, etc). God's church is a doing church, not just a preaching church. Bringing our collective resources together, we ought to be able to help and be a blessing to our community in many many ways.
Many of the business ventures would allow church members, as well as the local community, to do business within establishments owned and operated by JACCI, thus insuring that all profits made from their business would be going directly into ministries designed to assist and better the lives of our members, friends, and community at large. It is our belief that in so doing, God's people would be able to devote a far greater portion of their financial resources to charitable causes, without having to do so above and beyond their normal daily expenses. By doing business with a JACCI sponsored establishment they could know that all the profits from that business were being devoted to charitable causes, whereas in a normal corporate setting, businesses operate for profit and the financial benefit of shareholders, and only engage in some charitable giving as a means of public relations and marketing.

Matthew 10:5-8
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
James 2:14-17
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
1 John 3:14-19
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Psalms 41:1
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
Psalms 82:3
Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Proverbs 14:31
He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
Proverbs 19:17
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
